The White Wolf, a diamond-bearing kimberlite in Finland, impresses with a relatively high number of micro diamonds discovered by latest drilling as announced today by the operator of the Timantti Project, Arctic Star Exploration Corp.
In comparison to previous results from drilling and surface sampling, today’s results show a highly significant increase in diamond counts. In comparison to other diamond exploration projects in Finland and Canada, today’s results clearly show the world-class potential of the Timantti Project.
According to today’s press-release:
Now compare above results to other diamond exploration projects in Finland and Canada with below tables from April 16, 2018:
Growing the Pack of Wolves
What makes Timantti a great diamond exploration project is that there is not only the White Wolf but a whole pack of wolves which may soon even grow bigger.
Almost at same age, the Black Wolf was also drill tested in spring 2018, hence results are pending and are expected to be received until the end of July.
The young Grey Wolf, recently discovered by Arctic Star, was also drill tested in spring 2018, hence more results could be announced any day now.
The Vasa Dyke Swarm was discovered in April 2018, when an excavator found diamondiferous kimberlite right at surface.
As kimberlites typically occur in clusters of dozens of separate kimberlite bodies, the chances of finding more are very good. For this reason, Arctic Star strongly increased its land package (see below map). Buddy Doyle, VP of Exploration explained in today´s news:
"We are very encouraged by the diamond results from White Wolf kimberlite, we await the diamond results from Black Wolf, and Grey Wolf, expected prior to the end of this month. With all the results in hand we can plan the next stage for these kimberlites. However, our focus will be more on finding more, we expect we are in a larger kimberlite field based on diamond indicators in the till in the area with at least several separate sources. It would make more sense to explore, find and do similar caustic fusion analysis to make an inventory of kimberlites thatneed bulk sampling, prior to doing this exercise on the Wolves.
Thanks to today’s highly promising drill results from White Wolf, I feel very comfortable with my investment into Arctic Star going forward. The advantages of the Timantti Project are key for a continued success: At surface...more and larger stones recovered than many other projects...safe and mining-friendly jurisdiction...close to infrastructure...relatively low exploration and development costs...
